*We have two tryout dates available.* However, we are HIGHLY encouraging anyone who is available to attend the FIRST tryout date in July. It is much easier to place students when all of the dancers are together. We do understand that vacations have already been booked and plans have been made for some, so if you can not make the first tryout date we have listed an alternate tryout date. Please mark your calendars with the tryout dates listed below:
-MAIN Performance Team and Special Choreography Tryout Date: Thursday, July 26th from 6:15-8:30 and Friday, July 27th at 4:30p.m.
Dancers will learn their tryout routines on Thursday, July 26th during our Walk-In Classes and will try out with those routines on Friday, July 27th. Dancers MUST attend Thursday the 26th in order to try out on Friday the 27th. A dancer ONLY needs to attend the classes in which they wish to be considered for (ie if your dancer does not take hip hop, they do not need to attend the hip hop choreography class). *Punch cards and Unlimited Passes NOT NEEDED to attend these classes!* The schedule for Thursday, July 26th is posted on Week 3 of our Walk-In Class schedule and is also listed below:
Dancers 7th grade and older: 6:15 Tryout Prep Class, 7:00 Lyrical/Jazz tryout choreography, 7:45 Hip Hop tryout choreography.
Dancers 2nd-6th grades: 6:15 Tryout Prep Class, 7:00 Hip Hop tryout choreography, 7:45 Lyrical/Jazz tryout choreography.
On Friday, July 27th our tryouts will begin at 4:30p.m. and we will start with 2nd grade dancers then move on to older dancers. 2nd graders will be free to leave after their tryout is complete. Dancers in 3rd-12th grades will need to stay after their tryout until call-backs are determined. More specific tryout time information will be given on Thursday, July 26th once we evaluate how many dancers we have trying out.
-ALTERNATE tryout date will be in early September. The date and times TBD.
We are so very excited to start our 2018/2019 season! PLEASE let us know if you have any questions or confusion, we would love to see everyone there!
